1, 2, 3: New York City (Greenwich Village, SoHo, and more)

We’ve surpassed 35k followers and are celebrating! Founder of Hotels Above Par, Brandon Berkson (@brandonberksonx) here: This exciting milestone has brought us to expand past hotels and launch our brand-new destination guide, “1,2,3.” It features 1️⃣ place to stay, 2️⃣ places to eat, and 3️⃣ places to visit in a specific destination, and is officially live on the “Destinations” section of our website. Given our team is based here, we are starting off with New York City’s (Greenwich Village, SoHo, and immediate vicinity)👇

To stay:

Walker Hotel Greenwich Village (@walkerhotels): Boutique hotel with elegant architecture and vintage décor, right in the core of West Village.

To eat:

Soho Diner (@sohodiner): Located at the Soho Grand Hotel, Soho Diner is a tribute to New York’s hallmark diners, but with a chic, modern, and retro-style take — think salmon-pink booths, fine wood paneling, drop lights, Formica tables, and a just-like-the-movies breakfast counter with stools. Breakfast is served all day — we love the Vegan Banana Pancakes; that said, if you’re feeling something savory, the Disco Fries are a must.

Posh Pop Bakeshop (@poshpopbakeshop): Located in Soho, this bakeshop reels in sweet-toothed guests with its wealth of desserts — the pink atmosphere is a nice touch too. The perfect-for-a-snack establishment is to die for — we love the S’mores Cookie Pie and Butterfinger Brownie.

To visit:

Greenwich Village: Red-brick edifices housing cute shops and restaurants is what makes this neighborhood so charming. You can walk blocks and blocks — make sure to pop into Bookmarc (@thebookmarc), the debonair coffee-table bookstore by Designer, Marc Jacobs.

SoHo: Designer shops, boutiques, posh restaurants, and art galleries are what you can expect in SoHo. As we’re a big fan of bookstores with cafes, we recommend a trip to the eastern edge of the neighborhood with a stop into McNally Jackson (@mcnallyjackson) — they have a treasure trove of books and an amazing print magazine section — as well the goop Lab (@goopshop) and The Detox Market (@thedetoxmarket) for all your wellness needs.

Washington Square Park: The perfect place to lounge after a day of shopping. Its most known feature is the Washington Arch.
