7 Stunning and Luxurious Hotel Bathtubs

Is there anything better than sinking into a deep tub filled with hot water? Well yes, if that tub is a luxurious masterpiece with perhaps a stunning view, across from a roaring fire, or accompanied by lavish amenities. A good hotel bathtub goes well beyond basic, whether it’s a stand-alone clawfoot, sunken deep marble, or an outdoor copper basin. Here are a few of our favorite hotel bathtubs around the world—it’s never been more fabulous getting clean.

Six Senses Ninh Van Bay (Khanh Hoa, Vietnam)

5 Stars | Website | Cam Ranh International Airport

62 | 1 swimming pool; Spa; Private beach area | 2

Heo Mountain; Duong De Beach; Coral Reef

For those truly looking to escape, Six Senses promises utter seclusion in their villas, stating on their website that “the only person who will find you is your dedicated Guest Experience Maker, on-call 24 hours a day.” Guests choose from private pool villas located on the beach, over the water, between the rocks, or perched on the mountainside. We’re obsessed with the Rock Pool Villas, which are yes, built among natural rock formations, and feature all-wood bathrooms, including a large wood soaking tub with panoramic views of the East Vietnam Sea.

Naladhu Private Island (Maldives)

5 Stars | Website | Male International Airport

20 | 1 swimming pool; Spa; Beachfront | 1

Coconut Grove; Gulhi; Bikini Beach

Imagine going between a soaking tub, your private plunge pool, and the ocean. It’s possible in the Maldives, and Naladhu’s recent renovation has managed to make its stunning bathrooms a place you’ll never want to leave. Each of the 20 private houses has its own pool and the deep, stand-alone tub overlooks it, with the private beach just beyond. To fully enjoy the exquisite indoor/outdoor living, ask your personal butler (yes, each house gets one) to fill your tub in the evening after dinner for true relaxation.

The Point (Saranac Lake, New York)

5 Stars | Website | Burlington International Airport

11 | Free WiFi; Bar; Pet friendly | 1

Upper Saranac Lake; Saint Regis Mountain; Saint Regis Canoe Area

One of the most exclusive resorts in the world, this Relais & Chateaux secluded resort in the Adirondack Mountains used to be a storied Rockefeller Great Camp. Each of the nine rooms is entirely unique, and several have utterly charming and luxurious bathrooms. Our favorite though is in the Lookout room, which features a double-sided stone fireplace, one side of which is in the bathroom, directly across from the deceptively deep marble tub (and adjacent to the double-headed glass-enclosed shower). Simply call the front desk and request a fire be started, and soon enough you’ll be luxuriating in ultimate relaxation. After, step out onto your private deck for beautiful views of the lake.

One&Only Mandarina (Riviera Nayarit, Mexico)

5 Stars | Website | Lic. Gustavo Diaz Ordaz Airport

104 | 1 swimming pool; Beachfront; Private beach area | 2

Sierra del Vallejo Mountains; Lo de Marcos Beach; Punta Raza Beach

This luxe resort opened last year with over 40 plush treehouses that are elevated about 40 feet off the ground and surrounded by tropical foliage. Peep the leafy jungle canopy from your private outdoor deck, infinity plunge pool, and partially open-air bathroom, where an outdoor soaking tub is shielded with wooden slats, allowing for a truly au natural bath among the treetops.

andBeyond Tengile River Lodge (South Africa)

5 Stars | Website | Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport

10 | 1 swimming pool; Free WiFi; Breakfast included | 1

Sabi Sands Game Reserve; Londolozi Game Reserve; Kruger Park Safaris

After a long day on safari, there’s nothing better than a warm bath. Set along the Sand River banks in South Africa’s famed Sabi Sand Game Reserve, this opulent lodge features nine floating suites, each with a massive tub overlooking the private deck, plunge pool, and game reserve just beyond. Yes, that means you can glimpse elephants, zebra, and other majestic animals while soaking your weary muscles, making for the ultimate viewing experience while bathing.

The Shore Club (Providenciales, Turks & Caicos)

5 Stars | Website | Providenciales Intl. Airport (PLS)

125 | 4 swimming pools; Beachfront; Fitness center | 3

Grace Bay Beach; Da Conch Shack; Parrot Cay

The only development on Long Bay Beach, The Shore Club has large suites with sweeping ocean views, plus six massive luxury villas, each boasting 8,800 square feet of total privacy, a private pool, courtyard, expansive terrace, and six spacious rooms with deep bathtubs. The master suite has the most enchanting ocean views, visible from the tub.

Urban Cowboy Lodge

5 Stars | Website | Stewart International Airport (SWF)

28 | Free WiFi; Bar; Pet friendly; Sauna | 2

Route 28; Woodstock; Big Indian Wilderness

The clawfoot tub at the Urban Cowboy Lodge in New York City’s Catskills area peers out at the mountains (the fall foliage here is “above par,” to say the least), as well as sits next to a cozy-as-can-be fireplace.
