So many cool new hotels have opened around the world this summer, from Greece to Guatemala! ✨
HAP Founder Brandon Berkson shares a list of his favorites below!
Kalesma Mykonos (Mykonos, Greece):
Travelers heading to this 27-key Mykonos hotel will adore its white-washed façades, bougainvillea-threaded archways, and Aegean Sea views. We love the infinity pool and elevated restaurant Pere Ubu’s Cycladic dishes, intimate sunset dinners, and DJ-accompanied celebrations.
One&Only Portonovi (Portonovi, Montenegro):
The lauded One&Only brand just opened up their first hotel in Europe (us hotel nerds are beyond excited!). The Montenegro-located hotel is an Adriatic Riviera gem, hosting Michelin-starred restaurant Sabia by Giorgio Latelli, accommodations that exude European elegance, and a program with top health & wellness brand, Chenot
Villa Bokéh (Antigua, Guatemala):
Situated in the chromatic colonial town of Antigua, Guatemala, Villa Bokéh charms guests with its seven-room hacienda, six-acre garden, and views of the volcanic-laden landscape for which the area is most known.
Casa di Langa (Langhe, Italy):
Make the trip to Italy’s Piedmont region for this 39-room, five-star hotel. Brassy tones, oak, terracotta, stone, leather, and glass are the aesthetic, a nod to the resident landscape. Other perks include the spa, warm infinity pool, and Faùla Ristorante’s local cuisine.
LJs Ratxó (Mallorca, Spain):
Ensconced in Mallorca’s mountains, this hotel used to be a 15th-century finca that produced olive oil. In addition to its overall nature theme—think gardens, hiking, organic spa treatments, and yoga—guests can expect 25 rooms sporting a boho-chic-meets-Mallorca-countryside décor.
Lyle (Washington D.C., USA):
This new Jacu Strauss-designed hotel is one of the coolest in the capital. Originally an Art Deco apartment building from the 1940s, its 196 rooms have been revitalized with Burl Wood headboards, rattan seating, and Berber carpets. Seasoned Executive Chef Nicholas Sharpe is at the helm of ground-floor restaurant Lyle’s, serving seasonal, contemporary American fare.
