Hotel Zoom-In: TWA Hotel

The imitable TWA Hotel (@twahotel) at JFK Airport in New York City is iconic. The hotel has been revitalized from its former life as the TWA Flight Center, which was constructed in 1962. The space hosts 512 guestrooms with jaw-dropping views of JFK’s runways, granting unparalleled observation of the hundreds of airplanes that depart and land there each day — our favorite lookout is from the infinity pool and deck (check out picture 3). History enthusiasts will be delighted by the on-site museum, which tells the story of the jet age and the mid-century modern design movement. It also plays house to the world’s biggest hotel gym. Dining is an atmospheric experience here, and is clearly exhibited at Paris Café – run by World-renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten — and The Sunken Lounge — the perfect place to enjoy a drink amidst an all-red retro setting.
