1, 2, 3: Washington, DC, Destination Guide

In celebration of the 2021 Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC, Journalist @DamonMBanks has curated his “1, 2, 3 Destination Guide” to highlight the best of what there is to do and see in DC this season as things continue to reopen.

To Stay:

The Ritz-Carlton, Georgetown (@ritzcarltongeorgetown):

Always a favorite for boutique luxury, this hotel has a ton of personality with its cozy lobby, elevated amenities and exceptional service. I recommend the Wellness Rooms on the Spa level that include an air purifier, yoga mat and much more in these stylish rooms. Also, inquire about their Cherry Blossom promotion.

To Eat:

The St. Regis Washington DC (@stregisdc):

Afternoon tea is always a favorite during Cherry Blossom season, and The St. Regis does it right! Cherry Blossom Decadence includes a selection of cherry blossom desserts and pastries. Delicious!

Dog Tag Bakery (@dogtagbakery):

A local favorite, this non-profit bakery runs an education and employment program for veterans with disabilities, military spouses, and caregivers. Stop in for a bite mornings and afternoons; amazing coffee and bakery items; or great snacks to-go before exploring DC.

To Visit:

National Cherry Blossom Fest (@cherryblossfest):

It looks a lot different this year without the thousands of tourists in town to snap the perfect photo of the 3,000 cherry trees, but they have an exciting mix of virtual and in-person activities planned this year.

International Spy Museum (@spymuseum):

Just steps from all the cherry trees at L’Enfant Plaza, the museum is opened each weekend, and allows you to explore the espionage trade in an interactive adventure.

ARTECHOUSE (@artechouse):

Renewal 2121 is a great installation that transports you 100 years in the future, and it’s inspired by climate change
