This West Hollywood Boutique Hotel Boasts Tasteful Rooms, a Refreshing Pool, and an All-Day Café That’s Perfect for Getting Work Done

Palihouse West Hollywood is a charming 95-key boutique hotel in one of Los Angeles’ trendiest heartthrobs. The slightly quirky design imbues California sensibility all over, from corridors to communal spaces, and guestrooms.

Palihouse Lobby

At the entrance is a lobby sporting a patterned décor, with a busy white- and green-checkered floor, one stout dog statue on each side, plus vintage furniture. A spherical pendant lamp imprinted with the letter “P” hangs from the ceiling and hovers atop a centerpiece table supporting two potted plants. The walls showcase neat millwork. To the back is a check-in desk.

Jetted off the lobby is the Lobby Lounge Café & Bar, which, if you ask us, is the perfect place to get work done (with a cappuccino in hand and a dish from their California-centric menu, of course). An olive-toned banquette hugs a curvilinear white-brick wall punctuated via five tables with blue-plaid chairs on one side. Sitting on the charming outdoor patio here is optimal for soaking up the Los Angeles sun.

The second-floor pool deck freckles with striped-blue lounge chairs shaded under umbrellas with multi-foil trims. Furnishings populate three sides of the pool, while the fourth is a wall in a green-white-green pattern.

Comfortable guestrooms pack each of the hotel’s four floors, some with balconies. An earthy palette of orange, rusts, deep greens, plus wood tones and textures, are mixed with bespoke details and custom features throughout, while well-appointed bathrooms are a beautiful display of mahogany wood, detailed tilework, and custom vanities. We love the Dyptique bath amenities, plush robes, and enormous rain showers.

From its central location to its California-tinged design, and its overall boutique hotel essence, Palihouse West Hollywood makes for a great LA stay.
