February is almost here, and this is where we are going. Which one of these three places would you like to visit most? ⬇️
Madrid (Spain):
From February 15 to March 3, Madrid is hosting the international Madrid Design Festival. That said, even if design is not your thing, you'll still love Madrid: Exploring the city's trendy Malsaña neighborhood, strolling alongside the topiary of El Retiro Park, dropping your jaw at the colossal Royal Palace of Madrid, and feeling Spain come alive at Puerto del Sol are just four experiences of many the Spanish capital offers.
TO STAY:
When here, stay at The Principal Madrid, which is housed in a historic building constructed in 1917. It artfully retains many of its original Art Deco and Art Nouveau architectural details.
Hilton Head Island (South Carolina):
While it might not be as warm as Florida during February per se, Hilton Head Island in South Carolina's 12+ miles of beaches is still gorgeous. Being that February is Black History Month, from their traditional cuisine to heritage tours to special art exhibitions, opt to learn more about the island's Gullah community, a group who were originally brought to America as enslaved people and are today one of United States' most culturally distinctive African American populations.
TO STAY:
Montage Palmetto Bluff is a luxe hotel that, even though not technically on Hilton Head Island, is thirty minutes away and serves as a great midway point between Hilton Head and Savannah, allowing you to explore both places.
Cayo Espanto (Belize):
Belize makes a great February trip due to its tropical climate spawning warm temperatures. The private island of Cayo Espanto is the perfect spot for sybarites looking to avoid people. Needless to say, nothing says Valentine's Day romance like a private island.
TO STAY:
With just seven villas, each accommodation at only-hotel-on-the-isle, Cayo Espanto, comes equipped with a private dock and personal houseman. Besides the overwater villa, guests also have their own plunge pool and beach.
