For years, Brooklyn has had a love affair with wine bars, and continuous new openings promise it will not end anytime soon.

Evoking the atmosphere of one found in a Parisian arrondissement, With Others is a sanctuary where great wine, food, and company come together in a way that invites guests to linger and savor.

Shanna Nasiri, the visionary owner, has created a wine bar reflective of her own tastes and deep connection to Brooklyn’s vibrant culture. With the help of Studio Ahead, a design studio she’s personally connected to, Nasiri has transformed the space into something elevated and intimate.

The glass-paned façade invites natural light, while inside, soft white walls are offset by delicate paper lantern sconces and chain-link candle holders cradling cylindrical candles, which cast soft, glowing flickers of light around the room.

A floating, steel-grated wine shelf hovers above the round bar adorned with fresh flowers, adding organic beauty to the sleek, industrial elements. Below stands a propped-up chalkboard that highlights the rotating array of daily noshes.

Through the back is the outdoor patio, which possesses undeniable charm–especially in warmer months. When the sun comes out, it becomes a neighborhood watering hole where friends gather to sip wine in the sunshine over the bar’s collection of board games.

With Others is built on a wine list that’s as meticulously curated as its design. The offerings lean heavily on organic and biodynamic vintners, spotlighting small producers from the likes of Italy, Slovakia, California, Croatia, and Spain. It’s updated regularly, ensuring that the bottles perfectly complement the time of year and the seasonal flavors accompanying them. Each bottle feels like a discovery, an invitation to explore new varietals and tastes you might not find elsewhere.

Nasiri consulted Chef Jay Wolman (formerly of Brooklyn mainstays like Diner and Marlow & Daughters) to shape the food menu, composed of cheese and charcuterie platters, a Little Gem Salad, and delectable bite-size croquettes. The true stars of the menu are either of the signature toasts–choose between the decadent ricotta or zesty crab.

Wolman and other guest chefs from Brooklyn’s best kitchens are frequently invited to With Others to showcase their work. Names like Ian Anderson of LaLou, Sofia Swanson of Swans Bakery, and Robbie Guevara of Test Kitchen have all stopped in for special multi-day culinary pop-ups, further enriching the experience and creating an ever-evolving landscape that keeps regulars and newbies coming back for more.

With Others is also committed to demystifying the world of natural wine. Each month, the bar hosts “Wine School,” a series of classes designed to boost confidence in navigating natural wine, regardless of experience.

With Others is a space designed for connection, whether through a shared bottle of wine, a shared plate for the table, or the casual camaraderie that arises when surrounded by good people.
