An Inside Look at Stylish New York City Hotel, ModernHaus SoHo

SoHo’s hotel scene is even more elevated, thanks to the opening of ModernHaus SoHo.

The first-ever hospitality brand from Thor Equities Group—a global leader in urban real estate development, leasing, and management—the company’s Director, Jack J. Sitt, is at the helm of the hotel’s creative vision.

From the hotel’s design and art collection (curated from his own personal assemblage) to the luxe in-room amenities & toiletries (the soaps are all Le Labo), Sitt has truly added a tasteful touch to every aspect of one’s stay.

Engulfed in the opulent shopping, dining, and cultural scene “South of Houston,” each of the 114 guest rooms abound in sunlight with panoramic city views. Take your pick of 10 different room categories, including five suites and crown jewel, the Gallery Penthouse.

Situated on the 16th floor and a spacious 1,300 square-foot floor plan, the Gallery boasts a living room, postcard-worthy cityscapes, and even a dining room with a 12-person table.

ModernHaus SoHo is able to satisfy any craving, whether it’s a meal by a Michelin-starred chef, a craft cocktail, or even a cup of coffee.

Begin your day at Jumpin Jacks—Sitt’s passion project—a light-filled lounge serving only the highest quality coffee beans, lined with works by the likes of Jean Dubuffet, Nicolas Party, and Hans Hartung.

Spend your afternoon lounging beside the rooftop pool or breaking a sweat in the 400 square-foot fitness center, then enjoy dinner at Veranda, a globally inspired American restaurant from Chef George Mendes.

After supper, take the elevator to the 18th floor for a nightcap at JIMMY. This polished cocktail bar is a cherished spot for lower Manhattan nightlife year-round. Located on the hotel’s rooftop, the aesthetically pleasing haunt boasts both a debonair décor and awe-inspiring view of the city.

Sophisticates, definitely check this place out.
