United Airlines’ invite-only restaurant, Classified, is hidden in plain sight in Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal C. The spot is an OTG-operated United restaurant. After opening in 2017, the dining experience closed during the pandemic before reopening last year.
Located behind a secret door near gate C120, Classified is reserved for those who score a secret, highly coveted invite. Guests of the restaurant received an email to their inbox with the secret password. MileagePlus members are all eligible to receive an invite and can visit for flights departing from or arriving at Newark. A valid boarding pass is necessary to get to the restaurant. Reservations can be made for parties of up to six, and all payments must be made with a credit or debit card or United Miles.
What does Classified serve? Once you enter, you’ll step around the corner into a 36-seat dining room, complete with white drapes, luxe ceiling fixtures, and ample space. The restaurant serves an upscale menu with soups, salads, entrees, and desserts. There are different menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
While the speak-easy experience isn’t anything special, the ability to dine in privacy away from the airport business makes it worth a visit.
