Growing up, Rachel Green from Friends has been a style icon. A cute bob cut, baby tees, and a plaid skirt continue to take Pinterest by storm. As the character and show progressed, so did her style. Baby tees still made an appearance here and there, but during the latter of the series, Green’s style reached new highs. Fitted blazers for her office ensemble, season three’s mint green gown never left anyone’s mind, and plaid staples were her closet’s best offerings. The series ended with Green ultimately staying in New York, but we love a good what-if.
What if she boarded her flight to Paris? How would her style translate to the Parisian setting? Paris fashion is seemingly different from New York style. With some common ground of individuality and bold colors, we can’t help but think Green would’ve situated herself quite comfortably. Below, we let our imagination run wild and dressed Rachel Green with a Parisian twist.
Sandro Ruffled Cardigan
From $280
Red was the first color that came to mind when I thought of the character. Bold and a pop of color seem like the perfect combination.
Gap Icon Trench Coat
From $168
This brown trench is perfect to dress up or down. Blurring the lines between casual wear and office wear was a language Rachel was fluent in.

Matching her natural flirty side, this mini dress will only accentuate her charisma.
Sézane Will Jacket
From $305

From $200
This button-up vest is perfect for a quick trip to the office before heading out to a two-hour lunch at a bistro around the corner.
Louise Damas Madeline Pendant Necklace
From $104
Unless it’s a wedding ring, Rachel often wore dainty pieces instead of bold, chunkier jewelry. Luckily this pendant necklace elegantly sits on décolletage.
Violette_FR Bisou Jelly in Aïssa
From $29
I can’t imagine a bold red statement lip on Rachel, but rather sheer muted pinks suit her more.
Rouje Celeste Boots
From $390
This Croc-embossed ankle boot features a brand-appropriate “R” on the boot, but we’ll add a double meaning for Rachel, too.
Loulou Studio Namo Shearling Coat
From $480
For the days she needs to dress up a bit more, this shearling lined coat is a great option. Paired with a pleated trouser, the aforementioned boots, or plan out a monochromatic look with a matching dress.
Ba&sh Large Tote Bag
From $495
Rachel naturally reached for a medium-sized bag for her day-to-day, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon. Easy to throw your lippies, perfumes, and wallet in, and if she really wanted to, a baguette.
Musier Paris Dolly Skirt
From $99
Rachel always had the best date night looks, from more formal outfits to casual outfits. I imagine she would’ve found every excuse to don this pencil skirt.
Polo Ralph Lauren Cotton Chino Ball Cap
From $49.50
Not the beret a certain Emily in Paris dons, but to show off her past career gig, some Ralph Lauren was needed.
The Frankie Shop Dusky Classic Oversized Shirt
From $98
This may be an obvious choice, but everyone needs a classic cut oversized shirt in their closets. This has infinite styling opportunities with jeans and trainers or dressed up with a skirt and heels.
Veronica Beard Maxine Plaid Skirt
From $448
This simply can’t be coined a Rachel Green-inspired style guide, without mentioning a plaid skirt of sorts.
Claudie Pierlot Lace-up Straight Trousers
From $340
Trousers don’t have to be boring. Small details spruce up a basic look, and this simple lace-up trouser is more than intriguing.
Hermes Les Becanes Scarf 45
From $250
Accessories are a must. Wearing in her hair, tied to a handbag, looped through jeans, or loosely around the neck, this silk scarf easily adds a new layer of dimension to the overall look,
Marie Mais Radiant Hoop Earrings
From $4,748
Diamonds, diamonds, and more diamonds. Rachel’s affinity for jewelry spans worldwide, so finding a Paris-based brand for timeless jewelry is all in a day’s work.
Maison Louie Marie No.04 Bois de Balincourt
From $93
This woody, sandalwood-based scent is quite romantic. Bois de Balincourt is named after Marie’s family home, where they had long walks on a trail called “Lover’s Lane.” Accompanied with cedarwood and cinnamon, it makes a warm and inviting scent.
Edwin USA Manhattan Wide Leg Jeans
From $204
Jeans are not to be left off this list. This high-rise, wide-leg denim has a classy flare. Buttoned front and back pockets and visible seams are a nod to ’70s-inspired looks on the beloved denim.
