As the highly-anticipated Barbie movie premiere is just around the corner, we’re going through an all-things Barbie and Margot Robbie obsession — and we’re guessing the same goes for you. Next to restocking our closets with pink, dainty clothing, who wouldn’t want to get a taste of what it’s like to actually be Barbie? As of July 17, the Malibu Barbie Dream House will be available to rent on Airbnb with two free one-night stays on the film’s July 21 release date and July 22.
The pink palatial three-story villa has everything you could dream of (pun intended), but Barbie is actually passing her keys over to Ken for this experience. The property exudes “Kenergy” with a saloon-esque horse-painted entryway, cowboy hats surrounding a posh pink-colored velvet bed, and cowhide decor adorning the space. The (plastic) horse Ken was gifted by Barbie even stands in one of the guestroom shelves.
After watching Ryan Gosling — who plays Ken in the film — in his “Cowboy Ken” ensemble, we’ve been dying to get our hands on it. At Barbie’s Malibu Dreamhouse, you can. From the black western button down to the authentic cowboy boots, Gosling’s (or should we say, Ken’s) entire wardrobe is available for styling. There’s even a spinning platform to show off your looks.
Whether you’re singing to the sound of Ken’s guitar at sunset or channeling your inner cowboy while line dancing at the outdoor disco, the property will reveal your inner child. For those of you who desire a Barbie-worthy tan, opt to fashionably relax poolside by the glittering infinity pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Plus, there’s a telescope on the roof allowing you to take in the sweeping Golden Coast scenery giving this stay another luxe touch.
When the stay comes to an end, Ken makes sure you leave with a pair of yellow-and-pink Impala roller skates and a surfboard to ensure you head out feeling “pretty in pink.” In Gosling’s words: “Look no further, you are Kenough.”
One night at Barbie’s Malibu Dreamhouse will show you that life in plastic really is fantastic.
