The Coolest Affordable Boutique Hotels in London

From eclectic and cozy to 4* and chic, here are four AFFORDABLE BOUTIQUE HOTELS in London that won’t break the bank, according to journalist & London resident Tyler Zielinski. 🇬🇧⬇️

Inside the Hoxton, Shoreditch. There is an orange patterned floor, white tables, and green and tan chairs inside. There is also a bar.

The Hoxton, Shoreditch

As is the case at most Hoxton hotels, expect a vibrant ambiance in the public spaces filled with great food and drink options, and a hustling hipster crowd. Rooms are snug, but functional; which isn’t a bad thing in this case as not venturing around trendy Shoreditch would be a missed opportunity. If you love a happening, urban scene, then The Hoxton fits the bill. (Double rooms start at $175.)

The Distillery

The Distillery channels the quaint experience of staying at a rustic English tavern, except instead of an old pub on the first floor, this spot has a distillery and multiple bars.

Starting at $170/night, travelers can enjoy one of the hotel’s three double bed rooms located on the iconic Portobello Road in London’s chic Notting Hill. If you like sipping on martinis between the sheets with gin distilled downstairs, then book-away.

Henrietta Hotel

This Italian-inspired hotel in the heart of Covent Garden is perfect for the traveling cocktail lover. Each of the 18 rooms boasts a well-stocked mini bar with a cocktail recipe book available for should you like to indulge. Rooms start at $340.

High Road House

For non-creatives who’ve always fantasized about becoming a member at Soho House, this charming 14-room hotel in West London is as close as you’ll get.

The stylish hotel boasts mid-century modern furniture and subtle Scandinavian design touches. Guests have access to the club space on the first floor, which is otherwise members-only, and the in-room amenities are there to impress (there’s even a jar of cookies!). For some nibbles, or pre-dinner drinks, head down to the hotel’s brasserie, or Club House bar. (Double rooms from $163 in low season.)
