This Is the Newest Hamptons Hotel We’re Obsessing Over Right Now

Anyone who’s spent a summer in New York City quickly learns that having a getaway in one of the East Coast’s seaside retreats—like Cape Cod, the Jersey Shore, or the Hamptons—is crucial to surviving Manhattan’s intense pace. While options abound, from rental homes to hotels, we’ve found Long Island’s ultimate barefoot luxury escape that’s not in the Hamptons town you might expect.

Located in Westhampton Beach, Seven Beach Lane is the area’s first-ever boutique hotel, bringing a fresh wave of excitement to this serene, often overlooked hamlet, which sits quietly beside its more famous neighbors. (Yes, we’re talking about you East Hampton and Montauk.)

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed by a charming white-painted wooden building with a wraparound porch—creating an inviting, homey atmosphere at first glance. The renovated three-story hotel beautifully blends old and new: its revitalized 1800s-inspired architecture is paired with refreshed, contemporary interiors, while a newly constructed building features a modern, wooden beach house structure.

Elevated coastal design envelops its 16 deluxe guestrooms and suites, many of which feature private decks with views of a sparkling swimming pool and lush garden backyard. Cozy nook seating provides an ideal spot for guests to unwind with a book or savor their morning coffee on the patio while taking in the ocean breeze. Its crown jewel is the treetop-level penthouse, boasting two bedrooms, a furnished great room, and an expansive balcony that exudes tip-top luxury.

As the hotel is still in its early stages, the food and beverage program is in the process of being refined. However, we can confidently say that whatever they conjure up next is sure to impress. We eagerly sampled their inventive American dishes, and each bite was better than the last. But first, we had to try the cocktails. Kevin, Seven Beach Lane’s talented cocktail connoisseur, crafted one of the best dirty martinis we’ve ever had—if not the best.

After drinks, we started with the Beet Root Salad—garnished with edible flowers, nuts, seeds, and aged sherry—combined with the Fried Green Heirloom Tomato, which was served with grilled North Fork peach, a bed of arugula, and cardamom verjus. We then enjoyed the Charred Spring Red Onion Risotto, topped with whipped lemon and delicate herb ricotta, as well as the Petite Chicken, accompanied by smash-fried potatoes, spinach, rosemary, and thyme. Needless to say, we left full, happy, and eager to see what the restaurant will serve next.

Guests can soak up the sun on daybeds and chaise lounges by the temperate saltwater pool. Poolside treats like the cheeseburger, monkfish tacos, or tuna crudo, paired with energizing libations such as classic Aperol or Hugo spritzes, make for a perfect indulgence as the tranquil summer day unfolds.

If guests wish to explore the town or take a ride on one of the hotel’s bikes to the beach, that’s easily arranged. The charm of Westhampton Beach’s village—with its Main Street boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, and a Saturday farmers market—is just a short stroll away. For those who prefer the shore, Rogers Beach is within walking or biking distance, perfect for spending a day with your toes in the sand.

With its laid-back charm, stunning renovation, and warm hospitality, Seven Beach Lane feels like the Hamptons home of your dreams—and it won’t stay under the radar for long once people discover how exceptional this place is.
