Travelers will soon be able to take direct flights from New York to one of Italy’s most captivating destinations.
Starting June 3, 2025, NEOS Airlines will launch nonstop flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Bari, the capital of Puglia. This move will make this sun-soaked gem more accessible to American tourists than ever before.
The seasonal flights–set to run through October 15–will be operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. They will offer both Premium and Economy class options.
Puglia, long adored by Italians but often overlooked by international travelers, has recently become one of the bel paese’s hottest spots. The capital of the Apulia region boasts breathtaking landscapes, including the crystal-clear waters of Salento’s beaches, the rugged cliffs of Gargano National Park, and the iconic Trulli houses of Alberobello.
It should come as no surprise that Puglia also happens to be revered for its exceptional culinary scene, which emphasizes fresh seafood, pasta such as orecchiette, and some of the finest olive oils in the world.
Historical treasures like the UNESCO-listed Castel del Monte and the Baroque architecture of Lecce add a rich cultural aspect that makes Puglia an ideal getaway for those itching to experience the essence of Italy beyond the crowds.
With more than 10 million passengers flying in and out of Puglia in 2024, the region is clearly on the rise. Thanks to NEOS Airlines’ new route from New York, Puglia should be bumped to the top of your bucket list.
