At This Hotel in Sitges, Every Day Feels Like a Saturday

Step into a hotel where every day is Saturday: Hotel Sabàtic, Sitges, Autograph Collection.

Nestled in the coastal town of Sabàtic, Catalonia, this locale has long been celebrated as a meeting point for cultural exchanges between Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea. Due to its location at the foot of the rocky Garraf massif, Sitges experiences more than 300 days of sunshine each year. As a new building, Hotel Sabàtic, embraces this ideal climate, creating an oasis in which time ceases to exist and one day blends perfectly into another.

Ornamented with a palette of natural materials and neutral color palettes, the suites are designed to feel like a discerning traveler’s home away from home. To encourage a balance of indoor and outdoor living, each of the 90 suites offers separate, cozy living rooms, and sea-view terraces complete with plush sofas and chairs. Marshall speakers are present in every room, along with a Music Menu that provides various Sitges-centric playlists to help make the most of time spent indoors. For those who elect to exercise from the comfort of their room or terrace, massage balls, a Yoga mat, and foam rollers are readily available.

Indulge and imbibe at Pasatempo, the hotel’s dining establishment that seamlessly takes form in three unique locations. Based on traditional and reimagined dishes from the surrounding Mediterranean fishing village, Pasatempo Restaurant serves healthful and imaginative dishes based on proximity and sustainability. Wine pairings are encouraged, as Hotel Sabàtic has access to limited-edition wine harvested in Sitges. Vermouth––the emblematic drink of Spain and Catalonia––flows freely on the Pasatempo Terrace. Wake up to the smell of freshly-baked pastries and ground coffee, placed along a long, convivial table at the Pasatempo Breakfast Buffet.

Viewing “true luxury” as the ability to be wholly present, preserving each traveler’s sense of well-being is Hotel Sabàtic, Sitges’ core focus. The property’s Fitness Club offers scheduled yoga classes each day, as well as Pilates, total body workouts, or even ballet classes. City bikes are available to ride into Old Town Sitges or along one of the many beaches. There is also a monthly full moon ceremony, during which guests and locals alike come together to manifest goals and release inner turmoil during a yoga class and meditation session around a firepit.

The property boasts two outdoor swimming pools, one of which is adults-only, offering a privileged setting for respite and rejuvenation as well as a bar and lounge. It is here that a live DJ set is spun weekly. The Winter Lounge situated behind the Lobby check-in area is also designated for adults, complete with billiards tables.

When next traveling to Catalonia, consider Hotel Sabàtic for a serene stay that is reminiscent of ideal weekends past and to come.
