This Is the Best Off-the-Grid Glamping Experience in Bryce Canyon National Park

Just 15 minutes from Bryce Canyon National Park, the premiere luxury camping company Under Canvas’ 10th flagship resort, Under Canvas Bryce Canyon, allows visitors to immerse themselves in all of Southern Utah’s remote natural wonders — minus the whole roughing-it camping vacation — from May to September each year.

Set on 750 acres of pristine Utah countryside, the campsite begins with a central lobby tent accented by a mini boutique stacked with national park merchandise, souvenirs, and household board games to play during your stay. The open-air layout leads to the main gathering area, where guests can interact with one another by the cozy firepits or pick up a game of cornhole to unwind after a day’s worth of outdoor adventures.

Inside the 47 safari-style tents, luxurious amenities adorn these fashionable canopies, giving Under Canvas its hallmark glamorous camping experience: plush king-sized beds, in-tent wood-burning stoves with complimentary firewood, and private seating decks adorn each space. Natural oak wood barriers separate the sleeping area from the ensuite bathrooms, which are equipped with heated showers, organic bath products, and flushing toilets. While you should be unplugged from technology here, the picturesque scenery may drain your iPhone battery; but fear not, since tents come with portable USB chargers for devices. (Pro-tip: bring out the old iPhone charging chord.)

A variety of tents are available depending on group size, too. The deluxe Hoodoo Suites sleep up to six guests with a full lounge area, plus a leather queen-size sofa bed to maximize space. For family travel, there are several comfortable accommodations, including the Suite with Kids Tent, which provides adjacent tents featuring two twin beds and a full traditional tent with all the usual upscale amenities.

At the on-site restaurant, seasonally-influenced fare provides nutritional full-course meals and grab-n-go options before and after guests’ outdoor excursions. Order one of their specialty coffee drinks, such as the Lavender Matcha Latte, along with the Good S’morning Greek yogurt parfait or the Classic Breakfast Sandwich served with a toasted brioche bun. There’s an obvious Western flare within the dinner menu, highlighting dishes such as the Canvas Burger and the Bison Chili, in addition to plant-based items under the “Greens and Things” section.

Once dusk passes into the twilight, the campsite’s 7,600-foot elevation allows for unparalleled stargazing — and there’s no better way to observe the shining constellations than with a warm s’more in hand by the campfire. For a quieter setting, however, opt to sit by your roaring in-room fireplace at your tent’s private viewing deck.

For those in search of a slow-paced lifestyle away from the noise, then the undisturbed grounds at Under Canvas Bryce Canyon — and all Under Canvas resorts for that matter — is where you should be headed.
