Founder of Hotels Above Par, @brandonberksonx, was lucky enough to have toured the Pendry San Diego (@pendrysandiego) last week (of course, while social distancing). The five-star establishment is Downtown San Diego’s trendiest boutique hotel. Immediately, upon entering the lobby, guests step into a space with sky-high ceilings, a set of ivory sofas, and black & white tile flooring. Located in San Diego’s pulsing Gaslamp Quarter, the hotel hosts six restaurants & bars, including Fifth & Rose—an alluring bar that’s redolent of the Gatsby-era—and Oxford Social Club—a debonair lounge equipped with plush couches and eclectic street art. Guestrooms feature a coastal-Southern-California décor set within a fit 12-story building, which houses interiors with patterned blue walls, ocean-inspired furnishings, bathrooms with marble countertops, Tom Adler artwork, and linens by Fil D’Oro.
