In nature, the Bo Tree––most commonly known as the Bodhi Tree––is a large, sacred fig tree in Bihar, India under which Siddharta Gautama is believed to have attained enlightenment. While indulgence is the antithesis of the Buddha’s teachings, the awe-inspiring design concept created by EPR Architects in collaboration with Amsterdam-based design firm Concrete instead leads guests to define their own nirvana through “Conscious Luxury.”

To inspire a connection between people, place, and the planet, partnerships The BoTree forged partnerships with like-minded brands and creators that are catalysts for positive change. Separating the public space from the guest elevators is a replica of a Bo Tree trunk crafted from recycled materials. A gallery wall in the lobby showcases portraits of changemakers in the art, hospitality, culinary, and entertainment worlds.
