Malaysia

Located in Southeast Asia, Malaysia is home to awe-inspiring beaches and rainforests aplenty. Its capital city, Kuala Lumpur, seamlessly mixes old and new with its modern skyscrapers and colonial architecture. You can’t miss the Petronas Twin Towers, which shoot nearly 1,500 feet up to the sky. Or, step back in time with a visit to Sultan Abdul Samad Building (which dates back to the 19th century), Religious sites like the six-tiered Hou Temple, the ultra-colorful Hindu Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, and The National Mosque of Malaysia are also must-visits. And, while the city is bustling with attractions, it also boasts plenty of green space — including KLCC Park, Taman Tasik Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park, Perdana Botanical Garden — which are perfect for people-watching and unwinding. Just outside the city, you’ll find the world-famous Batu Caves, which is home to several temples and caves — plus a giant gold statue of the Hindu deity Kartikeya.
