The Netherlands is a true European gem, best known for its canals, tulips, windmills, and bike trails. The Windmills at Kinderdijk consist of 19 windmills and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Het Loo Palace, which is located in Apeldoorn, is a former royal palace. Meanwhile, Museum Van Loon boasts lush grounds and landscapes for visitors to explore. The expansive De Hoge Veluwe National Park is situated over 13,800 acres and is beautiful any time of year. In addition to its incredible natural beauty, the park also has a sculpture garden and art museum on-site. Holland is also home to several colorful lakefront villages, such as Marken and Volendam. The romantic Kasteel De Haar (AKA De Haar Castle Castle) in Utrecht looks as if it was snatched straight out of a storybook.
