Sir Richard Branson’s Mahali Mzuri Safari Camp in Kenya

Mahali Mzuri

Meet Mahali Mzuri, Sir Richard Branson’s luxurious safari camp in Africa — AKA the world’s number one hotel, according to Travel + Leisure.

The sprawling property — which is part of English entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Limited Edition portfolio — is located amidst the private Olare Motorogi Conservancy in Kenya. It combines luxe accommodations, bucket-list-worthy experiences, postcard-worthy scenery, and can’t-miss amenities. Its name translates to “beautiful place” in Swahili.”

Despite the expansive grounds — which clocks in at over 33,000 acres — the camp has just 12 tents. Of course, these aren’t your typical camping tents. Instead, expect plush bedding, four-poster beds, ensuite bathrooms, private outdoor decks for wildlife viewing, and plenty of sun-drenched space for natural light.

While you can spot ample wildlife from the comfort of your tent, Mahali Mzuri also offers game drives — and nighttime excursions, too! Here, you’ll spot a slew of animals such as giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, and millions of other species — coupled with lush valley views, too.

What’s more, Mahali Mzuri hosts just 24 guests at a time, which means you can expect plenty of seclusion — coupled with top-notch service and hospitable staff to cater to your every need.

The Main Tent is ideal for relaxing thanks to its fully stocked library and cozy fireplace. You’ll also find a heated outdoor infinity pool, where you can catch some much-needed R&R after an action-packed day. Guests also have the option to indulge in a restorative spa treatment, many of which utilize locally sourced ingredients.

The culinary offerings are just as exciting. The property offers everything from bush BBQs to champagne picnics. Guests can feast on fresh-baked bread and pastries, as well as locally sourced produce, mouthwatering spices, and plenty of bubbly.

Africa, here we come.
