Igloos? In Savannah, Georgia? Yes, you read that right.
Now that the holiday season is officially in full swing, you can indulge in a luxe winter wonderland-inspired experience at The Alida. The buzzy boutique hotel, located in the heart of downtown Savannah, will offer holiday-themed rooftop igloos from now until March 11, 2022.
The seasonal pop-up, which is located on the hotel rooftop, is not to be missed. Each private igloo offers panoramic views. The cozy-chic decor elements are also a highlight. These include fuzzy pillows, plush couches, mini Christmas trees (yes, they’re just as adorable as they sound!), wooden furnishings, and twinkling lights.
Here, guests are able to take in the sweeping skyline views while sipping on festive-themed cocktails, like the gin- and vermouth-based “Snow in the South” and “Snowman Can’t Talk,” the latter of which is crafted with bourbon, ginger, and bitters. And, if you get hungry, don’t fret. Instead, order up some seasonally inspired comfort food and dig in. The Prosciutto and Fig Tartine and the Charcuterie Board are just a few of our favorite menu staples.
The Alida also amps up the fun factor with retro-inspired games and holiday-themed movie screenings to enhance the already-magical experience.
Each igloo accommodates a maximum of six guests for up to 90 minutes at a time. Reservations can be made online via Resy. Just bring along your favorite ugly sweater, gather your crew, and bask in the festivities.
