Bad Roman Is New York City’s Newest Instagrammable Italian Restaurant

Tucked inside NYC’s Columbus Circle, Bad Roman is the city’s buzziest new Italian restaurant — to say it’s exceedingly “Instagrammable” would be an understatement. Upon walking past the glowing, neon-red entrance sign, a wild boar statue sits prominently on a pedestal behind the check-in desk. The main dining area, styled by GRT Architects, is decked out in maximalist motifs: wavy light fixtures with spherical bulbs attached, orange banquettes, droopy lush greenery, mosaic accents, plus a marble bar front kitted out in a pattern of brownish-orange and light-green.

From its Italian dishes with a twist to its ever-so-eye-catching decor, this place offers the ultimate setting for your next social media post. Have your camera ready for the Black Truffle Honey Whipped Ricotta, a shareable plate where the server uses a vintage honey dipper to drizzle a sweet sauce over the dish. Also worthy of a spot on your Instagram grid is the Yellowtail Crudo with charred grapefruit and pistachio, Spicy Gem Caesar salad with ciabatta bread crumbs, and cheesy Filet Mignon Meatballs. When it comes to a delicious dish, opt for the meat-filled Cappelletti Bistecca.

If you’re looking to really indulge, consider the Osetra Caviar Gnocchi, comprising crème fraîche, chives, and caviar dollops.

Sweet-toothed diners should end their meal here by ordering the tasty Lemon Cheesecake.

Of course, the meal accompanies a fun ensemble of cocktails highlighting Italian spirits: the Martini Pepperoncini, shaken with Grey Goose, pepperoncini brine, and lemon zest; the Tequila Granita, made with Don Julio Blanco, lime, Calabrian honey, and habanero shaved ice; and the Ciao, Mama, stirred with Ilegal Mezcal, limoncello, San Pellegrino, and pink salt.

From its maximalist decor to its catchy Italian dishes with a twist, Bad Roman deserves a placement on your Instagram feed.
