Hôtel Plaza Athénée and Gray Malin’s New Photography Series “Dogs of Paris” Is the Content You Need In Your Life

Here at Hotels Above Par, you could say we are superfans of Gray Malin. His travel photography puts a smile on your face, whether it be “Welcome to the Parker,” where he produced unconventional photos of zoo animals walking around the iconic Parker Palm Springs hotel grounds, or “Llamas with Pink Balloons,” which saw him photograph the comical mammal wearing hot pink balloons, amidst one of Bolivia’s salt flat landscapes.

If you love Paris and are a dog person (a winning combination, if you ask us), the artist’s recently premiered photography series Dogs of Paris needs to be on your radar. Capturing the allure and romance of the city of lights through his creative vantage points, this whimsical series shows glamorous canines, who all clearly enjoy the finer things in life, hanging out at the iconic Hôtel Plaza Athénée, delving into Parisian fashion, food, and culture.

“Shooting this collection at the legendary Hôtel Plaza Athénée was a dream come true. In partnership with the hotel, I chose iconic locations, including the captivating front entrance, La Terrasse Montaigne restaurant, the grand interior stairway, the Prestige Suite–also known as the Carrie Bradshaw Suite, and a beautiful rooftop terrace with exquisite views of the Eiffel Tower. My largest production to date, this series pays homage to the joy of escapism, our furry friends, and the incredible fashion, food, and culture of Paris” explains Gray.

So, what more can you expect from the collection? Dogs picnicking in front of the Eiffel Tower, ambling along the Seine, and indulging in ambrosial pastries at Ladurée.
