Denmark

The Scandinavian nation of Denmark boasts culture and colorful architecture aplenty. Its capital city, Copenhagen, is home to the Tivoli Gardens, a 19th-century era amusement park that remains popular to this day. The awe-inspiring Christiansborg Palace (which houses the Prime Minister’s office, the Supreme Court, and Parliament) is nearby, too. You’ll also want to snap a pic at Nyhavn, which is dotted with bright-hued buildings, cafes, and restaurants. The Øresund Bridge connects Sweden and Denmark and is considered a prime example of incredible engineering. Aarhus and Odense are the country’s second- and third-largest cities, respectively. Each offers something special with its distinct charm and friendly locals. The best way to explore the country is by bike — this is Europe, after all.
