Historic Hungary is home to one of Europe’s most charming cities, Budapest. The riverfront capital city, which is set along the Danube, boasts ornate architecture, Old World charm, the City of Lights is teeming with vibrancy. Popular attractions include the iconic Hungarian Parliament Building, Buda Castle, Fisherman’s Bastion (an old fortress with magnificent city views), the Széchenyi Thermal Bath, Heroes’ Square, and Central Market Hall. Budapest isn’t the only city worth visiting, though. Though much smaller, the cities of Debrecen, Szeged, and Miskolc have a distinct character.
